THEY ARE YOUR MR.RIGHT!

Dear friends,

Today is Wednesday in June the 27th, it's a rainy day.

Nowadays, many Hong Kong people tend to go to extremes, some of them indulge in breeding pets or reptiles, they even hold wedding party for their dogs..and invite a lot of guests, relatives to attend the party. As for me, I indulged myself in breeding tortoises, 2 heads in the beginning, 3 more after 2, 5 followed by 7, and then 10 heads in total here in the end. It is interpreted as "Craziness" as usual.
-
However, through this, I have learnt more knowledge and means of livelihood from a crowd of live tortoises, some tortoises are extremely active and willing to put themselves in a new and strange environment, thus they grow very fast and keep their bodies well. Imagine the passive one, assuming there are two existed, breeder always worries about this one because it does not open its mind widely for the public and even not accept any foods and cares, eventually the passive one itself will probably form an incomplete growth on its life, like growing with a deformed carapace, illness and whatnot.etc, also they die probably from getting not enough nutrition and dehydration.

(Active Tortoises, they are willing to put themselves in all environment and grow very fast)
-
In fact, the active tortoises todays have set the example for me and the people, they brought 4 meaningful words up to the people, so long we can change for the new challenge by means of a mind with active, diligent, impartial and considerate, we certainly live the part like those tortoises the active one.

-
Unfortunately, people very often in the grievance are used to shun the reality by putting themself in other substitutes, they sometimes are crazy on shopping, eating, working, but shouting at others is the worst one of them. Taking a story as an example, when a baby is born on the land, he has to learn walking, thinking, doing for right and accepting full responsibility for what he did before. If he lacks an experienced pilot for his life, the baby may hit the wall while he may pass into the right if he gets oriented. The experienced pilot is the elderly of your family, or all friends of yours.
-
There is an old Chinese saying that "an old folk is as valuable to the family as precious jewels", but, nowadays, the old generation sometimes dislikes the behavior of the young because the youth is interpreted to be "monkeyish" by the elderly while the new generation thinks the idea of the elderly not working very well on their zones, the elderly is considered a born snail and is as stubborn as mule.
-
The purpose of this article is to remind all of yours, to me as well, not to play the passive role because in such role that will deprive of your potential ability and limit to your development. Cracking a joke, a man, about 15 years ago, who thought that he was the active one of the tortoises, he strove for his goals and successfully achieved a great deal of targets for the past fifteen years, however he gradually forgot the words which deeply etched in his mind because of those many achievements, the words they are namely active, diglient, impartial and considerate. he lost in full and was degraded to be the passive one afterwards, frankly speaking... the passive one is equvalent to the loser here this article.

-
Whatever you met with thousands of success for your life but you have to remember that there are four meaningful words experienced from the behavior of the active tortoises that will be your Mr.Right.

A slide show

Dear All

Today is Thursday on 21 June, It is a sunny day.

Welcome to my Slide Show!
-
I am thankful to my nephew and neice as they agreed to sharing their pictures with all of us for a slide show, my nephew who is a 10-year-old boy, he is a smart guy and likes producing a very high frequency (sound level at approximately 200dBA) to hurt other persons, and even to those animals / insects they have been hidding at my home for a long word, such as ants, flies, rats....etc. Actually, his sound level deafened those living beings for life for ever and ever.
-
My neice who is a 2.5 year-old girl, she likes playing kitchen toys at home, and likes eating, playing and sleeping.

A good creation is an asset to a child

Dear all,

Today is Wednesday on 20th the June, it is a sunny day.
-
Living in the modern city, many parents seem to be not so familiar with all of their children, they strive only to set up a collection of prefab plans for their children but not to realize what the cons or probs of their children as always. In fact, a baby coming to the world is meant as a piece of paper that he needs to write the history for his life, he may write vividly for some good lives including both his primary school, secondary school and university, and even write with flair for his career life....and whatnot..
-
I strongly believe that a meaningful growth to a child is everything in learning how to become a wisdom, as a clever man who can show great wisdom to form his house not on the sands, also nor build on the rocks.. Some parents like telling their sons to follow them and do likewise, Sometimes, all they have planned for their children are nondemocratic, i.e. learning guitar, paino, ballet, computer typing..and whatnot. If a child dislikes these hobbies in all, then such plans do not do them much good to him.
-
Not to discredit some parents they always are dissatisfied with the mark of approximately 80 or over 80 which their sons bring in front of them after school......It will be nervous depression to the next generation!
-
A few last words though. I write this article is to encourage all parents in knowing more about their children, analysing what the best approach to their sons is, and giving their sons a right to choose what hobby they want to have. Through this, I created two bloggers, one to my nephew (Leung Ka Hei,10 year-old), another to my niece (Loo Chau Yi, 2.5 year-old), and hope the bloggers can be the means of training their writing skill and expressions because the writing itself is a breeze espcially for some interesting topics about themselves..

-
This picture shows a whale being thrown to the sky, it should swim in the ocean not sky.. However, innovation is unlimited, illogical and personal belongings. This picture will be a gift given to my nephew (Ka Hei) and niece (Chau Yi), and I hope it can become their lifelong buddies who would show up whenever they need it, because a good creation is an asset to a child.
-
Best wishes to them all.

A Trip to Cheung Chau

Dear friends,

Today is Monday 18 June 2007, it is a sunny day.

On last Friday, not having anything in particular to do, I decided to have a half-day trip with my mother to Cheung Chau Island. I was extremely excited because I had heard so many great things about the island. There were so many common topics in the public talking about travelling to Cheung Chau Island, for instance: Cheung Chau Tung Wan beach, Pak Tai Temple, Pak She Tin Hau Temple., the celebration for Tai Ping Tsing Chiu, Road-side restaurants and little police car..etc.

Cheung Chau is a small island in western Hong Kong, it may seem tiny on a map of Hong Kong- maybe not much more than a full-stop off southeast Lantau, but it's easily reached from the Pier No. 4 in Central.
(Cheung Chau Ferry Pier)

After a 45-minute-ferry trip, it was at 15:15pm, the minute we arrived at the ferry pier of Cheung Chau Island, we were on the west coast of Cheung Chau viewing from inside of the ferry pier, my left hand side is the left side, so if you arrive at the ferry pier next time, you had better getting your orientation at once, your face viewing outside from the inside of the pier is your front side, your left hand side is your left side (North is to your left) while right hand side is South. You might have kept a simple map in your mind in such description made above.

Walking to south from the ferry pier, we saw a bustling street and Cheung Chau Market, Cheung Chau did not offer me an "away from it all" experience as it has been a famous holiday place for many hong kong people or students to search for entertainment or relaxation. Frankly speaking,it was too many persons walking on the street to give me a quieter feeling.
(Cheung Chau Market)

Walking to north, some sourvenir shops, road-side restaurants and holiday flats are there, my mother said: the so-called "Cheung Chau Island" was nothing more than a small island.............,it had no difference from "Stanley Bay" of Hong Kong Island... However she agreed to the point that some sourvenir items like "Ping On Bread" and colorful sand shoes were nowhere to be found except on Cheung Chau Island. My mother bought 2 pairs of sand shoes and hand bags, and some accessories relating to the meaning of "Ping On" to my sisters.
-
-
-
-

-
The afternoon passed by fastly and we went back to the ferry pier around at 17:15pm. Similarly, our ferry trip back to Central Pier was spent for 45 minutes, we reached the central pier at 18:00pm.
-
All in all, it was one of the good tours my mother has ever gone on as she has been living in small region in Wong Tai Sin for many years....so a short trip has brought her close more to Lantau Island and offered her a memorable day. The best thing is that it was not an extravagant vacation! Everyone can afford it.

My Rosetails (Bloody-Red & Metallic- Blue)

Today is 16 June 2007, it is a cloudy day

Dear Friends

You may have gone through my article which was posted on June the 14th in relation to the general description of Siamese Fighting Fishes, it is extremely difficult to perusade myself not to buy Bettas continuously as they come in all beautiful colors such as reds and dark blues...particular to the new generation Bettas (they have developed special color patterns, for instance: White, Yellow (rare), Metallic Blue, Orange and magenta..etc).

I wonder if my decision was exactly right or not, I bought another two Bettas from an aquarium in Mongkok yesterday....they are Two Rosetail Bettas (it cost me $60 per fish), the saleperson who advised me that if you keep a Betta fish in order to make the fight other Bettas, you will naturally have no incitements to breed fancy Betta fish with long, and the Betta's flowing fins that can easily be injured if you put it in a fight. His voice actually was touching my heart there at that moment!

Truely speaking, I have inclination to breed some fancy & viewable Bettas as their wonderful colors and fin shapes acutally amazed me very much. Maybe it is said to be "Love at first sight".

My Bloody-Red Rosetail (Picture 1)
This is one of my rosetails, it is a bloody-red Betta. The main characteristic of the rosetail is the excessive branching in all three unpaired fins, especially the excessive branching and the overlapping rays in the caudal, which produces a "rose-like" appearance.

The picture 1 shows my rosetail trying to spread its maximal spread of 160 degrees. This breed likes demonstrating its caudal fin to be halfmoon shape to the opponent, if the caudal fin could show a 180 degrees or more spread, then the form is defined as Halfmoon shape.
-
-
-
-
-
My Bloody-Red Rosetail (Picture 2)
This guy looks great even when not flaring and spreading, and when the do flare the effect is astounding; a huge tail that spreads straight up and straight down, full dorsal and symmetrical anal fin (see the picture 1 above)

My Metallic-Blue Rosetail Betta (Picture 3)
(Picture 3A and 3B)

(Picture 3C and 3D)

(Picture 3E)
From the above pictures (3A to 3E), my Metallic-Blue Rosetail Betta was flaring its gill covers and puffing out its fins to intimidate another Bloody-Red Rosetail, the act seems to be giving a warning sign to other fishes or to its opponent, and say to them "Leave me alone, don't disturb me here"...something like this!
-
As a beginner, I would like to invite you to have a look my new Bettas, and hope that my hobby in breeding Siamese Fighting Fishes can share knowledge and experience with you here. The last but not the least, if you want to turn on your Betta aggressive behavior, you are kindly recommended to use a mirror instead, don't put another Betta into the same container. Fighting will bring out the worthless reward and cause great damage to their body..............At that rate, you might feel acute distress at your Betta as she could hardly show you a Halfmoon Betta.

If you have any question, you can dial my 24-hour emergency hotline at 9125 9874 for more information.

My Betta (Veil Tail Betta- Siamese Fighting Fish)

Dear my friends,
-
Thank you for visiting my blogger again, one of my reasons in keeping a Blog is to keep everyone updated on my life. To gain a little background information, please get ready to go with me!
-
Today is 14 June 2007, and time is 20:14 (a rainy day)
The picture above shows my Veil Tail Betta, it is a blue fighting fish having a tinge of cyan, , it cost me $18 HK Dollars.
-
Last saturday, I bought a beautiful Siamese Fighting Fish" from aquarium in Tze Wan Shun, the siamese flghting fish is one of the most popular species of freshwater aquarium fish in Hong Kong. Do you know Bettas (a common name of Siamese Fighting Fish) have been affectionately nicknamed "The Jewel of the Orient", many children, like me and you, have ever bred these fighting fishes in the childhood as they come in different colors such as Blue, Red and Green.. and some wih two colors mixed.
-
I recall breeding a Betta fish (Type: Veil Tail 長尾彩) at home when I was child, I brought my Betta to fight with another siamese fighting fish which was bred by one of my friends. We often kept our Bettas in a small bottle glass and bred a little per day, even nothing to breed in full day, hungry and dark space would let Bettas to turn on their aggressive behavior, and fight back the opponent's Betta......The people said at that time.
-
Speaking of educating a stronger and aggressive Betta, I used a mirror to turn on my Betta's aggressive behavior prior to fighting with other fishes. My Betta (長尾彩Veil Tail also, it was a red Betta with a tinge of green) cost me about 2 dollars in my age of 10 while a strong Betta (Plakat 將軍彩) with lasting aggressive behavior was $5 in the market. I was unwilling but had no choice to buy a Veil Tail Betta because I was given only a little petty cash for breakfast a day. However, unfortunately, my friend who brought his Plakat Betta for the fight, his Betta should be worth $8 HK dollars.. Let's imagine, How a $2 HK dollars Betta could fight back a Betta which was worth $8 in the same market?
The attractive point is coming........don't leave your seat!
-
We put our Bettas into a small container and turned their aggressive behavior on by using mirror, the size of my Betta looked like a "S" T-shirt while that of my friend's Betta was "XL" , the fight was unfair, unreasonable and unacceptable by a 10 year-old child. Blessedly, my Betta killed his Plakat Betta at the end of the fight, I saw my Veil Tail Betta flaring its gill covers and fighting again to the dead Plakat, my Veil Tail ate the dead Plakat's fines one piece by one..
Certainly, I gave my Betta a long vacation and bred it some bloodworms in reward.
-
Through this talking, I would like to tell you about 3 important points that might be dangerous for the Betta, please carefully taste the following advice if you intend to breed your Betta in the near day:
  • First, the betta has a labyrinth organ which allows it to take in oxygen from the surface air, similar to the human lung. If the betta can not reach the surface of the water, which can be the case if a plant's roots are covering the surface, the betta will suffocate in a matter of hours.
  • Secondly, Betta species are carnivorous and an appropriate food must be provided, such as live or frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp, also water in the tank shall be kept at 27 degree because all Bettas should come from native Thailand, as they are a tropical breed.
  • Thirdly, Don't put more than two Bettas into a tank or a small container, they may fight with each other as they are a kind of aggressive fighting fish, it is not suitable for two Bettas to trap into a small container especially two male B.splenders shall not be housed in the same tank unless they are separated by a dividing wall.
-
You are welcome to write to me or ask something about the colorful siamese fighting fishes either by mail or by a phone call, I will do every possible effort to get back to you as soon as I can.
-
With Best Wishes,
-

Exploring the Hong Kong Wetland Park with My Mother

Dear friends

Thank you for visiting my blog, one of my reasons in keeping a Blog is to keep everyone updated on my new message, motion and my life. To gain a little background information, please get ready to go with me!
-
Today is 12 June 2007, Time is 20:45pm.
-
On 11 June 2007, it wasn't a super hot day but really it was not included the time at 12:00pm. I got down to check where the Hong Kong Wetland Park is and how cheap & direct way to there I could take in the morning. To streamline our trip, I phoned to Bus Services Hotline and asked about what number bus to there I should take. Taking this opportunity, I wanna thank to the sincere staff taking the time to help me with this........he led me into a direct way to take the bus (KMB Bus No. 265B) at the Bus Stop in Wong Tai Sin. Many thanks to the staff!
-
As a matter of fact, it is an unique way to go to Tin Shui Wai Town, and it is relatively cheap than other traffic tools. At about 11:00am, we had started travelling a bus trip for approximately 45 to 55 minutes to Tin Shui Wai Town, and then reached the Hong Kong Wetland Park by a 5 minute taxi-trip.
-
Transportion Fees: $16 x 2 persons (Bus: 256B) + $15 (Taxi fee)
Time: 11:00am to 12:00pm
Entrance Fees: $30 x 2 persons
Time: 12:00 to 15:30pm (we stayed there for 3 hours)
-
Perhaps I have never taken time to explore Hong Kong's lovely wetlands, however it was a matching time for me to experience and cherish the natural life with my mother there. Speaking of this visit, I was thus educated to understand more on the importance of wetland conservation and got familiar with the interesting wetland wildlife in Hong Kong.

The picture above shows my mother who was standing in front of the Information Board for a memorial photo.

Let's go for understanding more about the centre facilities provided at Hong Kong Wetland Park. The Park is located at the northern part of Tin Shi Wai District, and it is a 60-hectare wetland reserve, facilities for vistors include theatre, resource centre, souvenir shop, stream walk, three bird hides, and Pui Pui house..etc.

Souvenir Shop-
I bought 3 numbers of T-shirts from the souvenir shop, one for me, two shirts for kid size, all items to be sold for visitors are inexpensive and reasonable.

-
Riverside lead us to venture different habitats of various wildlife, I saw different fishes and plants, colorful and beautiful insects, birds and wonderful scene there. Do you want to take more beautiful pictures of nature? Go there with your family, you can find out more about it!

-
Pui Pui's House
Salt water crocodile " Pui Pui" was first found at Shan Pui River in north west new terrorities of hong kong on 2 November 2007.

Pui Pui is a well-known crocodile in Hong Kong, no one knows where she came from. It was suspected that she might be an illegal pet escaped from her owner's home or was dumped into the river after she grew too big.

As you may know that the naughty crocodile escaped from corc-hunters from Austrilia and China, but eventually fell into a trap made by government staff.
-
-
-
-
-
In fact, Pui Pui is benefiting from the Hong Kong Wetland Park because she is an illegal pet and is a lucky crocodile in Hong Kong. She has sorted out already all difficulties in housing problem, she had no need to pay 10 to 20% of first-term payment for her new accommodation (我希望她日後不會成為銀主盤啦!).

The picture shows Pui Pui the crocodile was basking in the sunshine..

My tortoises

Dear friends

Welcome to my blog, I hope this blog will give you a place to take a short break and link up other friends who you may want to meet them here.

This blog will, certainly, bring you close to my life, to my new motion, and even let you to know more about me via a real angle that I show you more than I can say for you.

Today is 10 June 2007, time in HK is 17:06pm.

This rough report is dedicated to my mother for willingly accepting his son who has a passion for tortoises. She helps to care for and breed my favor tortoises at home everyday when I go out for working.

Quiet speaking, my mother also likes very much tortoises, especially for two heads of Geochelone Sulcata tortoises, they grow very fast and they are like goldfishes, as you may know that, goldfishes do not know when they are full, they eat more and more until they die in the aquarium.
A nickname "Eating Machine" is more suitable for sulcata tortoises. As for my house, my two sulcatas like exercising all the time in the house, they destroyed our sofa many times.....they are like a destructive tank (they grow toothed-shell in their margin) to trim my sofa chair.

-
-
-
-

-

They are extremely strong, powerful and inconsiderate tortoises, and they are like an eating machine, or I should say they are a non-timer machine, they will eat anything especially like a plant or any green color matter which I put in front of them.
<--- See left picture, my sofa chair was destroyed by my two sulcatas, I hate them but love them very much as well!

-

-

-

One of my sulcatas, ToTo, she likes exercising in the house and likes destroying all furniture, all matters with colour in green.
-
-

The tortoise on my mother's right hand is "Toto" while the tortoise on left hand is "Big Piece"
-

Profile:My sulucatas (Toto & Big Piece)
Age: 4
Gender: Male
Country of Origin: Africa

In addition, I have some tortoises like Leopard Tortoise, India Star Tortoise, Golden Greek..etc.

This is one of favorite tortoise, she has beautiful and elaborate markings on the carapace. She is a 1.5-year old Leopard Tortoise.

-

I have two heads of indian stars, this is one of my stars, star tortoises have a domed carapace which is different from Leopard Tortoise, their profit looks like an egg with beautiful star markings.

Unfortunately, another star died on 1 June 2007, I will miss her forever.

This is a female Golden Greeks, she likes extending fully her feet when she relaxes on the floor. She likes eating, playing and sleeping.

-

About 3 weeks ago, I took my sick tortoise (Kinixys Belliana Tortoise) to the veterinary hospital. The doctor told me that different tortoise species should not put together in a tank because some of them like living in high humid region, some like enjoying high temperature and eating high-fabric grains and plants.

The doctor mentioned a similar analogy in his office, he said: when the europeans arrived in the americas, they might have brought different diseases into the new native population, they like humidity and cave but americas does not provide such kind of needs with the europeans, europeans might die or illness.. likewises, my Belliana Tortiose has the same condition, so it suffered from illness, seriously, it might die and spread illness to other species.
-
To avoid mixing different tortoise species, now I put temporarily same tortoises into a tank and made them far from other species. I will try to made them homely, and try to put a man-made cave and private swimming pool in the aquarium because I think the cave will provide shelter and a good place for them to hide.
-

You are welocme to use any of these pictures if you think it would be useful to you or to others. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any question or you would like to know more about tortoises.

Backache is a big problem to all men

Dear all friends of mine,

Welcome to my personal blog, I hope this blog will give you a place to enjoy yourself and link up other friends who you knew them or you have never recognised.

This blog will, certainly, bring you close to my life, to my new motion, and even let you to know more about me via a real angle that you find me more here than you hear from me.

Today is 9 June 2007, it is 18:05pm.

The day before yesterday, I went to consult the doctor (Leung Wah Herbal Curing) because I felt my back was still painful, the back ache might be stemming from a negligent care or incorrect handling method caused in my youthful time.
Very often, many hongkongers do not pay special attention to their bodies but they are willing to take fast way instead, this incorrect thinking might have produced a great effect upon the future of both their works or their lives. Taking me for an example, I spent some money on treating my backache, totally it cost me about HK$790 (i.e. appointment fee for each time needs me $10, herbal treatment for backache costs me per time at approximately $230-250..., not to mention taxi fees)
-
-
The picture is a regretful advice, I lost my money and time, and my face!
If you have any other questions or would like to send some money to my account for lighting my life, you can save money to my personal account at HSBC Bank (052-192010-288).
I am writing on behalf of myself to thank to you for your generous support and cash donation.
