A Certificate of Appreciation from Oxfam HK

Dear all
-
I have great pleasure in telling you that I have been an Oxfam Partner for 4 years working with Oxfam Hong Kong, and got a certificate of appreciation from a recent letter. Being an Oxfam Supporter, I do believe in such work to fight poverty and helping the people in need that are not an one-off support in short-term, but in long-term partnership for a lasting change. With support from Oxfam and the public, people living in poverty have been given help in developing a sustainable income and getting out of poverty. Not more than HK$50 a month, I can help and work to fight poverty with Oxfam HK!

Try and You Will Succeed Like 'Him"

Dear Friends

Failure is said to come before success and this is entirely true. In fact, most of us have ever met failure and it is inevitable in your life. If you come across difficulty and then give up your goal owing to lack of courage, patience and confidence, this is really wrong. As a matter of fact, you must struggle on till you are successful like The Overmatch of Universe "Donnie Yen 甄子丹". The most important factor to overcome failure is to build up a persistent spirit which will not admit defeat. Moreover, we must know ourselves clearly, we cannot achieve a goal that does not mean we can give up, but try to create the necessary conditions for the attainment of such goal.

A good example is Donnie Yen (The Overmatch in Universe 宇宙最強), he has been doing his best in martial arts, and in his films with great confidence and patience, finally success came his way. His movies reflect his personal intensity and drive as well as the life of the world he observes around him. It is important to remember that nothing can be achieved easily without toil.

Indeed, few successes can be attained without failure. You must have the confidence and the persistent spirit which will help you to struggle on because "Try and you will succeed"
