To Israel

On October 4th, I joined a nine-day trip to Israel led by a prominent Hong Kong travel agency, which is where I always wanted to go as Israel is a great religious icon, with many sacred sites located inside its borders. Israel has many old cultures, from the Wailing Wall to the Mount of Olives. People from all over the world come to Israel to take in its beauty.

The travel agency took me and other members in Israel, starting with the Jaffa Port, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee to Holy City and other Masada country parks to experience. We experienced Jesus' pain by walking down the street named "Via Dolorosa" where Jesus carried the cross. There is a total of 14 points described along the street for tourists to imagine the pain of Jesus. In terms of tradition in Israel, I wrote a prayer to Hong Kong and my wish on a tissue and pushed the prayer into the gaps of the wall.

Before the trip, I knew only a little about Israel and even found it difficult to introduce my mind to the word Israel. A way to help me was to imagine the word of Israel to be "is not real" as Israel can be separated into two, "Is" and "rael", meaning that it "is not real" but "is rael". It definitely helped me remember it. After the trip, I knew a great deal of the histories of biblical rituals and experienced more from there in Jerusalem. In particular to walk along the Via Dolorosa with my imagine. I was feeling like it was real, definitely it was. The word 'Israel' to me is real.
