The Mexican fisherman said: "Only sit for a while and you can catch it." The American asked again, "Why don't you stay a little longer so that you can catch more fishes by yourself?" The Mexican fisherman felt disapproved: "It has been enough for our family's life a day!" The American asked again, "Except fishing, what are you doing with so much time left?"
The Mexican fisherman explained: "My life is full and busy every day as I can sleep until I wake up naturally, going out to sea to catch some fishes, and playing with my children when I come back, also I may take a nap with my wife, and going to the village to drink a little wine at the time of dusk, and even though I can play guitar with my buddies. I like my current life"
The Mexican fisherman asked, "So how much time does it take?"
The American businessman replied: "About 15 to 20 years."
The Mexican fisherman asked, "What then?"
The American businessman laughed and said, "Then you can be the emperor at home. So long as the time comes, you can announce the stock listing and sell your company shares to the investing public. Then you will be rich, you can earn hundreds of millions of dollars, earn a billion!"
The Mexican fisherman asked, "What then?"
The American businessman said: "At that time you will be able to retire! You can move to a small fishing village by sea. Every day you wake up naturally, go out to sea to catch a few fish, play with the children, and sleep with your wife after the nap, go to the village in the evening to have a little wine and play guitar with the guys you liked!"
The fisherman said: "I already have the life you said, and I don’t need 20 years later. After 20 years, I’m already old. I may not have the energy (say physical support) to go out to sea nor have the opportunity to play with my children. The small wine shop in the village may already be there different, the taste of the wine I liked may also differ..."
Life sometimes has too much content and chaos, which makes our mindset complicated, we must simplify and purify our lives at the same time, instead of mixing them up together. At some junctures in life, weeds will grow in our lives, eroding our beautiful and rich garden of life, we must learn to eradicate these weeds we unwanted, and know-how to choose and give up for ourselves.
